WELCOME

While attending Bethel Green M.B Church, Percy Gray, Jr. served as the director of the Senior Choir.  He possessed an aggressive and accelerated teaching style that required a challenge beyond working with the church choir. Rev. August Brown Observed Percy’s unique teaching style and encouraged him to organize his own choir so that he could teach his own music and grow professionally.

In the summer of 1982, Percy along with his brother Jeral organized “Voices for Christ Community Choir.” The choir was organized with the goal of singing to perfection. The choir consisted of the youth of Bethel Green and expanded to include singers throughout the City of Chicago.

1982 is considered to be the beginning of Grayboy Productions. With the support and administrative skills of Evangelist Mattie Matthews, along with Percy’s musical gifts and Jeral’s ability to arrange music, Grayboy Productions became a reality.
